Christine Revell Children's Home
In early 2009 The Breadsticks Foundation funded the installation of a smoke alarm system at the Cape Town based Christine Revell Children's Home which cares for up to fifty children aged five and under.
Children and staff have been trained in evacuation procedures and can now sleep a little sounder. We are also part funding substantial roof repairs to the Home's play rooms and veranda.
Class Act
In late 2008 the Breadsticks Foundation funded reward vouchers for 150 adults receiving basic literacy and numeracy lessons from Class Act in South Africa's Limpopo Province. These vouchers helped secure the commitment of the learners to the classes.
Many of these literacy groups have become the focus for community projects and wealth creation schemes.
